WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Ensure OSHA, MSHA, DOT compliance
  • Plan/implement/review/update safety programs
  • Create Job Hazard Analysis for high-risk tasks
  • Inspect and survey equipment and facilities
  • Lead accident and injury investigations
  • Make site visits to industrial locations, conduct audits and safety meetings
  • Advise and train on provisions to minimize safety risks
  • Conduct new hire safety training
  • File safety, DOT, MSHA, OSHA records
  • Monitor compliance and identify safety issues
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE

  • B.A. Environment/Health and Safety
    OR
    1-2 years of related experience
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge on OSHA and MSHA regulations
  • Proficiency in computers
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Sporadic out of state travel
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Positive attitude
