WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Ensure OSHA, MSHA, DOT compliance
- Plan/implement/review/update safety programs
- Create Job Hazard Analysis for high-risk tasks
- Inspect and survey equipment and facilities
- Lead accident and injury investigations
- Make site visits to industrial locations, conduct audits and safety meetings
- Advise and train on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Conduct new hire safety training
- File safety, DOT, MSHA, OSHA records
- Monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE
- B.A. Environment/Health and Safety
OR
1-2 years of related experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge on OSHA and MSHA regulations
- Proficiency in computers
- Organized and detail oriented
- Sporadic out of state travel
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Positive attitude
