WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Conduct new hire safety training
- Conduct accident investigations
- File safety, DOT, MSHA, OSHA records
- Review/update safety programs
- Monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Make site visits to industrial locations, conduct audits and safety meetings
- Create Job Hazard Analysis for high risk tasks
- Ensure OSHA, MSHA, DOT compliance
- Manage online safety risk management subscriptions
- Manage online SDS systems
- Injury case management
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE
- Formal safety education/training
- 5-7 years of experience as a safety official
- 5-7 years DOT, MSHA, DOT Experience
- Safety experience in an industrial setting such as mills, railyards, etc.
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proficiency in computers
- Organized and detail oriented
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Sporadic out of state travel
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
- Positive attitude
- Highly motivated
- Collaborative spirit
