WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Overseeing overall shop maintenance, organization, and cleanliness
  • Responsible for developing the shop rebuilds/repairs scope of work
  • Managing union and non-union personnel, including scheduling
  • Creating quotes for rebuilds and repairs
  • Reporting on KPIs such as cost of projects and percentage complete
  • Managing work orders, maintaining inventory of available equipment, and working with Shop Coordinator on parts ordering
  • Collaborating with Safety Manager and Director of Safety to fulfill all environmental and safety requirements
  • Developing and maintaining general operating expenses
  • Managing maintenance and repairs for onsite use equipment
  • Overseeing, quoting, and scheduling internal and external freight of assets
  • Maintaining a visual management board for performance communication

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 5+ years heavy equipment management experience
  • Experience managing a union workforce
  • Ability to navigate and interpret equipment and parts diagrams
  • Knowledge around heavy equipment freight
  • Belief that safety is a necessity, not an option
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think outside the box
  • Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and ERP systems preferred
